Induction Activities in St Fiacc’s N.S. consist of the following:
- Meeting with the N.Q.Ts before the beginning of the school year to meet N.Q.Ts, to show them around the school and to answer any questions that they may have.
- To go through the Welcome Pack.
- Informal Meetings between the mentor and the N.Q.T.s
- Formal meetings between mentor and N.Q.Ts to discuss the Suggested Activities
- N.Q.T.Meeting with L.S.Team or E.A.L.Team
- Observation of another class which is similar to that of the N.Q.T
- Observation of another class which is a year younger than the N.Q.T’s class
- Observation of another class which is a year older than the N.Q.Ts class.
- Observation of another colleague teaching a lesson to the N.Q.T’s class
- Co – Teaching of Mentor and N.Q.T.
- Observation of N.Q.T by the Mentor and feedback.
