Scoil Náisiúnta an Chroí Naofa is a co-educational Catholic school near Glounthaune village situated some 10 km east of Cork, on the north shore of Cork Harbour. There are 42 pupils of various nationalities attending SNCN. We embrace and celebrate all cultures and beliefs. Our school team comprises of 25 teaching staff and 6 SNAs. We are very fortunate to have ‘Aoibhneas’ our learning support centre, a computer room, a multi-sensory room, a language support unit and speech therapist. The school participates in many extra curricular activities; Drama, Music, Art, Homework Club, Irish dancing and GAA to name but a few.
The school became involved with the project in its pilot stage in 2006. All the staff has been extremely supportive of this programme and all the NQTs in their induction year. Being part of this programme has created a great sense of collegiality amongst the staff.
