Rushbrooke Primary school is located just 16km outside Cork city. It is a mixed school, with 599 pupils attending the school. There are 39 teachers and 11 SNAs working in the school. The school participates in a variety of sports, G.A.A. being the most prominent.
Due to the ever growing population of Cobh, the school expanded at a very rapid pace. This meant that nearly every year there were newly qualified teachers starting in our school. When the school was asked to become involved in the pilot project for teacher induction, it was seen by everyone as a much needed support for the newly qualified teachers in our school. We have been involved in the project ever since.
