Read the current featured school article on our website. A featured school archive page is also available.
Word count approximately 1500 words.
If possible please include:

  • photographs of induction activities, mentor, principal, NQT(s)
  • photographs of displays in the school
  • website address


Introduction - what to include

  • Brief description of the school
  • Reasons for participating in the induction project
  • Length of time the school has participated in the project
  • Setting up of the process in the school
  • Induction activities


Mentor Perspective

Reflect on:

  • your decision to train as a mentor
  • your experience as a mentor
  • professional  development
  • benefits and challenges of being a mentor


NQT Perspective

Reflect on:

  • your first experiences  in the school, classroom
  • your participation in the induction project
  • the induction activities that proved most beneficial to you
  • your professional development as a NQT

 

Principal Perspective

Reflect on:

  • Principal's role in the induction process
  • Setting up the process in the school
  • Supporting  the mentor
  • The development of the induction process in your school

Technical Issues

  • When submitting photos, please submit as jpeg files, on disk or by email. Photos added to a word document are sometimes problematic and it may not be possible to add them to the website.
